Hello. I am DaveH Heberle, director of the virtual Free-Ed.Net campus in Real Life™. I am also an avatar who lives, works, and plays in this fantastic, 3-dimensional world. Let's cut to the chase about this online "game" called Second Life. Is it really a game? Does 4th quarter 08 reports of over $100-million USD in player-to-player business transactions sound like a "game?" Of course not — not for anyone with a modicum of entrepreneurial spirit. It's not a game, it's an opportunity! There is much more to this program we are calling Real Business 101 than another round of study guides, books, and exams. Those standard components are important to your success, but you are also expected to engage in the founding of a new business in Second Life. What good is bookwork if you can't actually make a business happen? This program is your litmus test. If you can grow a successful business in Second Life, you can do it in real life, too. And if you find you cannot make a business work in Second life, I'm willing to bet you will have the same problems in real life. But I won't take up any more of your time with my introductory prattle. Go to the FAQ to learn more about the details of this program. Oh, there is one more thing: Welcome to an engaging example of education for the 21st century!
