About This Course

"Critical reasoning" has nothing to do with being cynical or personally critical of everything. Rather, it's about seeking the truth of a matter, no matter how favorable (or unfavorable) the outcome might be.

Critical thinking isn't about judging everything and everybody. It is about assessing the quality and consistency of ideas and supporting evidence.

Understanding just a few basic ideas of critical reasoning and creative thinking can transform your life, including the way you think, the way you act, and the way you perceive the world around you.  That's the purpose of this course. You won't learn everything you should ever know about the art and science of critical reasoning, but it will get you started. (And that's all an honest critical thinker ever needs — a nudge in a productive direction).
