| WATER IN FUEL SYSTEM It requires only a little water in
a fuel system to cause an engine to miss, and if present in large enough quantities, the
engine will stop entirely. Many fuel filters are designed to clog completely when exposed
to water, thereby stopping all fuel flow. Water that enters a tank with the fuel or that
is formed by condensation in a partially empty tank or line usually settles to the lowest
part of the fuel system. This water should be drained off daily. |
