1-27. NASOGASTRIC INTUBATION Gastric intubation is done to obtain a specimen of stomach contents, to lavage the stomach, to gavage a patient, or to allow for drainage of stomach contents by suction apparatus. Nasogastric intubation is preferred over orogastric intubation. |
