It's safe to say that there are far more informal readings of dramatic works than full-stage drama productions. This is what we regard as "drama as literature."  Drama is intended to be performed live and on stage for an appreciative audience. But getting involved at that level might not be the sort of thing that keeps your passion afire. So how about getting together some talented friends and set up a production company that specializes in audio (YouTube) versions?

So, there is an idea for a lifetime of intellectual challenge becoming directly engaged in drama as literature ... well, just one idea, anyway.
