Print journalism began an agonizing downsizing during the first years of the 21st century.  Public impression and, particularly, the growing level of red ink in the hardcopy news business has sealed the fate of a once-bustling and widely romanticized business.

Even so, there is a place for the hardcopy survivors and apprentices who have the passion, courage, and preparation to make it work for them.  This office at Free-Ed.Net is dedicated to them (as well as pop-culture sociologists and historians).
