Writing
is an integral part of lifelong learning. It is the de facto
method for expressing new ideas and describing older ideas. From
heartfelt love letters to the handwritten Declaration of
Independence; from stone tablets to digitized 0s and 1s; from a
short grocery list to War and Peace ... the written word is an
awesome source of energy that fuels the progress of civilization as
well as the progress of a night's homework assignment. Obviously, to
master the tools of the written word is to grasp a handle on a
future as personal as your own affairs and as universal as the
future of humanity. What and how much should you appropriate for
yourself? That's up to you.
