Spirituality
is "other worldly." Spiritual
experiences and understandings are
transcendental. They might be very real
to the one experiencing them, but they
are totally lost upon anyone else.
Religion,
on the other hand, is "of this world."
It is the playing out of spiritual
insights in the physical world. Most
religions in the world today are
hands-on representations of a prophet's
spirital discoveries. Frankly, most
people are unaware, unwilling, or unable
to delve into purely spiritual matters.
So they gladly settle for religious
practices that are hands-on, everyday
representations of spiritual insights.
