| 3.14. TURBINE ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTING Engine malfunctions can be recognized and diagnosed by comparing actual engine instrument reading with normal readings. To aid maintenance personnel in engine troubleshooting, the engine technical manual has troubleshooting charts to analyze, isolate, and correct engine malfunctions. Proper utilization of the troubleshooting charts will save time, provide a logical method of isolating the causes of malfunctions, and eliminate the unnecessary replacement of parts. Figure 3.11 explains how to use the troubleshooting charts.
