| IDENTIFYING LAVATORIES AND SINKS A lavatory/sink is a fixture that is supplied with both hot and cold water. Its waste disposal drains into the building's waste system. Lavatories/ sinks come in many shapes and sizes. They can be made of vitreous china, enameled cast iron, and stainless steel (see Figures 1 and 2).
