Multiplication Word Problems

A recipe for homemade bread calls for 3/4 cup of water. You are tripling the recipe. How much water should you use?

The word tripling is the give-away term in this case. So this is definitely a multiplication problem -- specifically 3/4 c x 3

3/4 c x 3 = 9/4, or 21/4  c
