Converting Fractions to Decimals
When you do these conversions from fractions to decimals, you often find that there is no apparent end to the number of decimal places. For example, you will never find the end of the decimals when converting 2/3 to a decimal fraction. Try it: 2 � 3 = 0.6666666666... It simply goes on forever and ever. Actually, most fraction-to-decimal conversions turn out that way. Make up some of your own and try them. The answer to the problem of unending decimils is to simply round off the decimal. So 2
