Demonstrate your ability to simplify and reduce the results of a division operation. Division is said to be the "inverse" of multiplication. This is quite apparent when dividing fractions. By siomply "inverting" the divisor, you change the operation from divison to multiplication. Dividing Simple Fractions Procedure To divide proper fractions: Invert the divisor (the fraction that follows the division sign) and change the operation to multiplication. Multiply the numerators and denominators. Reduce or simplify the result as necessary.
